A 23-year-old woman was struck in the leg by a stray bullet on a Queens street — and four suspects, three of them teenage boys, have been arrested after fleeing in an SUV, cops said Wednesday.
The innocent bystander was shot once in the leg on Wyckoff Ave. near Summerfield St. in Ridgewood about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, cops said.
Witnesses said four people jumped out of a silver SUV, with one of the crew firing off a pistol. It was not immediately clear who they were aiming at, cops said. After firing off several rounds, the gunman and his accomplices jumped back into the SUV and sped off.
Medics rushed the woman to Brookdale University Hospital, where she was treated for a minor wound.
Cops tracked down and stopped the SUV a short time later, taking everyone inside into custody.
Three 17-year-old boys, whose names were not released because of their ages, and 23-year-old Thomas Tyler were all charged with attempted murder, reckless endangerment and weapon possession. It wasn’t clear which suspect is believed to be the actual shooter.
Arraignments for the four suspectds were pending in Queens Criminal Court Wednesday.
