Nicole Kidman is hoping to secure residency in Portugal, just months after someone broke into the Los Angeles-area home she shares with husband Keith Urban.
The 58-year-old Oscar winner arrived Sunday in Lisbon, where she and the country star, 57, purchased property in 2023. She has since applied for a residence permit with the Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum, local outlet SIC Notícias reports.
Urban did not attend the residency appointment, as he’s currently on tour in the U.S.
Kidman reportedly hopes to reside in the European hotspot while she films “Practical Magic 2” in London, a roughly three-hour flight.
The News has reached out to AIMA and reps for Kidman for comment.
The Australian “Babygirl” star and her Grammy-winning husband are currently based in Nashville but as of February of this year, also have a home near L.A.
The family — including Kidman and Urban’s daughters Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14 — was away when someone broke into the latter residence in mid-February, a source previously confirmed to the Daily News. The suspect was scared off by one of the couple’s employees, TMZ reported at the time. It’s unclear whether anything had been stolen.
Multiple stars have faced break-ins at their Southern California homes in the past year, including “Barbie” star Simu Liu, “One Tree Hill” alum Sophia Bush, actor-comedian Marlon Wayans, and Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson.
