Chappell Roan to play Forest Hills Stadium at low ticket prices this fall

The “Pink Pony Club” will be riding into Queens for four nights this fall when Chappell Roan brings her “Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things” pop-up show to Forest Hills Stadium.

The newly minted Grammy Award winner for Best New Artist announced Thursday that she’ll play the historic venue on Sept. 20, 21, 23 and 24.

Roan partnered with CashApp to offer 15% cash back on tickets purchased using the app’s Visa debit card. Her team is also utilizing Fair AXS, a feature offered by the ticketing company to limit third-party sellers from cashing in.

Now through July 27, fans can register for a chance to buy up to four tickets on ChappellRoanShows.com. Fans will be selected at random to access the tickets and notified via email from Aug. 5-7.

New York City is among a string of three U.S. stops, including Kansas City and Pasadena, that Roan will be playing before stepping away to write her next album.

“I love these three cities so much and wanted the chance to do something special for them this year,” she said in a statement on social media. “Because we’re only coming to three cities, I wanted to make sure we’re keeping ticket prices as affordable as possible and we’re trying to keep them away from scalpers.”

The singer-songwriter, is also donating $1 from each ticket sold to organizations that provide resources and support for transgender youth.

“It is so important that I give back to the trans community as they have given me so much throughout my entire career,” she said.

So in 2013 or 2014, two Bonanno members paid Rosario to shut the place down and Rosario got to work, according to a January filing by federal prosecutors. The two Bonannos who gave the order are expected to sing at Rosario’s trial in Brooklyn Federal Court next month. Neither are named in the court filings. One of the informants, a Bonanno associate, is expected to testify he was in the room when Rosario and his “associates” barged into Rubino’s shoe repair shop, broke one of the gamb...

Unclaimed Funds Archive

What are unclaimed property and unclaimed funds? Perhaps you forgot to cash a check, overpaid a bill, or didn’t know you were the beneficiary of a long-lost relative’s life insurance policy. There are many reasons why you may be owed money and not be aware of it. That is why banks, insurance companies, courts, corporations, and other organizations are required by law to attempt to notify you by mail and publish information regarding unclaimed property in the newspaper. What happens to unclaimed property? Organizations have between one and five years to try to reunite account holders with their property, depending on the state and industry. After that “dormancy period,” the funds are turned over to the state. The NY State Comptroller will hold on to unclaimed funds indefinitely, just waiting for you to file a claim. How to find lost money: Search for your name—and your family members’ names—in the unclaimed property and funds lists published in the New York Daily News, linked below...
