Gunman blasts away at rival on Staten Island street, striking him 5 times

A brazen gunman opened fire on a rival on a Staten Island street, hitting his 25-year-old victim five times, police said Saturday.

Cops released surveillance images of the gunman in the hopes someone recognizes him as the investigation into the shooting continues.

The victim was standing outside a home on Andros Ave. near Christopher St. in Mariner’s Harbor about 10:50 p.m. on March 22 when the gunman approached.

As he stepped forward, the suspect pulled a gun and started firing, hitting the victim five times about the body. The gunman ran off and remained at large on Saturday.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was treated and expected to survive.

Cops recovered surveillance footage of the gunman and released an image of him on Saturday as they asked the public for help in identifying him.

He’s believed to be 5-foot-8 and was last seen wearing a black face mask, black-and-white jacket and dark pants.

Cops are offering a reward of up to $3,500 for information that can lead to the gunman’s capture. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
