Staten Island man arrested after child sex videos he made with girl, 4, found on phone: feds

A Staten Island man arrested on child sex exploitation charges gave a phone to a pal’s girlfriend apparently without realizing it still had video and photos he made with a 4-year-old girl, the feds allege. Jon Consiglio, 39, was ordered locked up without bail after his arraignment Wednesday in Brooklyn Federal Court. “The victim in this case, your honor, is a 4-year-old girl. Her mother is aware of it as of last night,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Jack Dennehy said in court Wednesday. Consiglio gave one of his phones away on Nov. 25 of last year, and the woman he gave it to passed it along to her sister on Sunday because she didn’t need it anymore, according to a criminal complaint. That same day, the sister found two videos and a photo of a little girl forced into sex acts with an adult man, the feds allege. One video lasted more than three minutes, the other more than four, and involved multiple horrific acts, according to the complaint. She contacted authorities, and on Monday, th...

Federal agents took Alex Pretti’s gun before shooting him dead, videos show as controversy explodes

Federal agents appeared to remove a handgun from Alex Pretti’s waist seconds before shooting him on the streets of Minneapolis, according to multiple videos as controversy over the killing explodes nationwide. A Border Patrol agent, who has not been publicly identified, fatally shot Pretti, a 37-year-old intensive care nurse , during protests against President Trump’s immigration crackdown. The protests stemmed in part from another deadly shooting in Minnesota, in which an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent fatally shot a 37-year-old woman, Renee Good , in her car. Videos of Sunday’s shooting show several agents surrounding and struggling with Pretti as he kneels on the ground. One angle shows an agent reach his hand toward Pretti’s waist . The hand then briefly disappears from view, then can be seen again holding a handgun. People embrace near the site where 37-year-old Alex Pretti was shot to death by federal agents Saturday. Cops checked Bronx home where twin boys were found starving, saw no evidence of abuse

Police made multiple wellness checks at the Bronx apartment where two teenage boys were found in an extreme state of malnourishment , but found no evidence of abuse in the years leading up to the heartbreaking discovery, NYPD officials said Saturday. The boys, 14-year-old twins, were found emaciated — with one child weighing 54 pounds and the other just 51 pounds — after multiple anonymous complaints led a child abuse specialist with the Administration for Children’s Services to their mother’s Mosholu Ave. apartment in Riverdale on Oct. 15. After seeing the boys’ shocking condition, the ACS agent called 911 and medics rushed the adolescents to Montefiore Children’s Hospital , where they were treated for three months, according to Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark’s office. Multiple neighbors told the Daily News they grew concerned for the boys after going years without seeing them outside their mother’s apartment, with one man saying he made a number of 911 calls requesting well...
