Kanye West makes brief appearance at Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs trial

Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, showed his support for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Friday, making a brief, surprise appearance at the courthouse amid his ongoing sex trafficking and racketeering trial, but he wasn’t allowed into the courtroom and left after briefly watching the trial on a video monitor in another room.

Cameras captured the “Gold Digger” rapper walking into the federal courthouse Friday morning around 11:30, where he was spotted greeting Combs’ youngest son, Christian “King” Combs.

Wearing an all-white ensemble, Ye was asked by a reporter if he was there in support of Comb,s to which he responded, “Yes.” When asked if he would be testifying on behalf of the music mogul, he did not respond.

Courthouse security did not take him to the 26th floor where the trial occurs in one of the building’s largest courtrooms. Admittance there is strictly controlled, with seats reserved for Combs’ family and legal team, as well as media and spectators who wait in line for hours to get a seat.

Ye watched the testimony from day 23 of the trial in an overflow room.

As word of his location spread, spectators trickled into the room where Ye sat in the front row with Combs’ son, Christian “King” Combs, a bodyguard and another Combs’ supporter.

Ye looked around the room before abruptly getting up and leaving, along with the others with him about an hour after he arrived, according to court personnel.

He didn’t answer questions as he left the courthouse, walking past reporters and TV cameras and ducking into a waiting black Mercedes sedan.

In the courtroom where the trial occurred, Combs, 55, seemed elated and aware his friend had visited as family members including his mother watched the proceedings. He has pleaded not guilty to sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges alleging that he used his fame, fortune and violence to commit crimes over a 20-year period.

In March, Ye publicly proclaimed his support for Combs in a song he released titled ”Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine,” which features both hip hop moguls and their kids.

“LONELY ROADS STILL GO TO SUNSHINE new song by PUFF DADDY feat. His son KING COMBS my daughter NORTH WEST and new Yeezy artist from Chicago Jasmine Williams,” Ye captioned his post on X at the time.

Ye also advocated for Combs’ release from prison posting on X, “FREE PUFF.”

The duo have stayed in touch since Combs has been locked up at the the Metropolitan Detention Center. In a leaked jail call between the the pair, Combs warns West that people are trying to “end” them.

“You be careful out there,” Combs says. “Cause they definitely trying to end us.”

Mobbed-up Long Island cop staged fake raid at rival ‘Sal the Shoemaker’ gambling parlor: feds

A mobbed-up Nassau cop working behind-the-scenes for the Bonanno crime family staged a fake raid to shut down a gambling parlor run by rival Genovese gangster Salvatore “Sal the Shoemaker” Rubino, federal prosecutors charge in new court filings. Now-fired Nassau County Police Department Detective Hector Rosario allegedly had a side gig working for the Bonanno crime family — and the Bonannos considered Rubino’s gambling den in his Merrick, L.I. shop, Sal’s Shoe Repair, the competition, the feds say. So in 2013 or 2014, two Bonanno members paid Rosario to shut the place down and Rosario got to work, according to a January filing by federal prosecutors. The two Bonannos who gave the order are expected to sing at Rosario’s trial in Brooklyn Federal Court next month. Neither are named in the court filings. One of the informants, a Bonanno associate, is expected to testify he was in the room when Rosario and his “associates” barged into Rubino’s shoe repair shop, broke one of the gamb...

Unclaimed Funds Archive

What are unclaimed property and unclaimed funds? Perhaps you forgot to cash a check, overpaid a bill, or didn’t know you were the beneficiary of a long-lost relative’s life insurance policy. There are many reasons why you may be owed money and not be aware of it. That is why banks, insurance companies, courts, corporations, and other organizations are required by law to attempt to notify you by mail and publish information regarding unclaimed property in the newspaper. What happens to unclaimed property? Organizations have between one and five years to try to reunite account holders with their property, depending on the state and industry. After that “dormancy period,” the funds are turned over to the state. The NY State Comptroller will hold on to unclaimed funds indefinitely, just waiting for you to file a claim. How to find lost money: Search for your name—and your family members’ names—in the unclaimed property and funds lists published in the New York Daily News, linked below...
