Call him the Golden State Kitten Killer.
A “serial cat killer” suspected of killing at least a dozen felines was arrested Wednesday in Southern California, police said.
Alejandro Acosta Oliveros, 45, was detained at his home in Santa Ana, the local police department said in an Instagram post.
Investigators believe Oliveros is behind the killings of at least 12 cats throughout Southern California, the Los Angeles Times reported. Cops said they found evidence implicating Oliveros when they searched his home Wednesday.

Residents in Santa Ana, about 30 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles, reported several “disturbing” incidents “involving the suspected abuse and killing of cats in a local neighborhood,” police said.
The reports indicated a mysterious man was luring cats away from homes and into his residence, where he harmed and killed them, cops said. They also shared a video that allegedly showed Oliveros tempting and then assaulting a cat.
Oliveros was booked Wednesday on felony animal cruelty charges.
Local residents had been reporting cat thefts and deaths dating back to 2023, local Fox affiliate KTTV reported. They shared stories online, including one in which someone found their cat hanging from a tree and another where a man stole a cat and then injected it with a needle.
“From what we know that cat died, and the owner went and put in a police report,” one resident told the station.
